First Grade: October 25 - 29

Dear First Grade families,

Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed a safe and fun Halloween yesterday! To celebrate the holiday, last week we practiced a silly witch song, listened to a fun witch story, and made pinecone spiders!

Last week we also completed our quest to find the world’s greatest number by studying the qualities of numbers 1-12. The students were delighted to find their predictions came true- all numbers are amazing for many different reasons! This week we will begin working more deeply with the four math processes: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

As a reminder, we start most mornings in the forest where it can be quite chilly until the day warms up. Students should now be coming with hats, gloves, warm footwear, and winter coats. Sweaters and sweatshirts can be worn under jackets, not in place of jackets. Thanks for your help on this!

Have a wonderful week,

Ki Hayley
