Osiyo River Otter families!
The River Otter students enjoyed a variety of activities in the forest this week with both dry and wet weather. This Tuesday, we were able to take our first trip to the creek for “creekcess”, and it was a big hit! The students floated leaf boats, saw frogs, fish, and tiny freshwater clams, built sandcastles, splashed, dug, and more. Thank you all for sending extra shoes and clothes!
Painting is becoming a favorite activity of our students on Wednesdays. Each week our friend Tippy the paintbrush goes on a special journey. In these stories and with our own Tippys in hand, students learn how to wet on wet paint and properly care for their paintbrushes and other materials. We begin by experiencing one color at a time, and then we will begin to work with two colors, and then all three primary colors. These paintings will all come home together at the end of the school year in a book.
