Dear First Grade Families,
Happy Monday! Thank you to everyone who came out for our Lantern Walk. It was so special to see the students come together for such a reverent event. Thanks especially to Sarah Darby who helped coordinate much of the festival and the path; 1000 tea lights were used for the event!
We celebrated a birthday as a class last week- happy birthday, Chloë! The students shared what made Chloë a special part of our class. Some of the things her classmates admire are: that she is kind and loving, that she is a great kitty doctor, and she is an excellent forest baker!
We have completed our first math block and have begun our second language arts block of the year. We will be introducing the vowels and bringing them to life through stories and poems. We will be focusing more on reading and writing consonant-vowel-consonant words.
Reminders:
Friday is a half-day; pick up is 12:15-12:30.
Thanksgiving break is next week.
Please consider donating nonperishable food items and personal care products for the Never Alone food pantry in Woodstock. Have a wonderful week!
Warm regards,
